GEA Tuchenhagen aseptic VESTA® sterile valve series is now 3-A approved according to 3-A sanitary standard “55-02, Boot Seal-Type Valves,” and is now included in the 2012 edition of the ASME BPE Standards in “Section 2.3.1.1.2; Radial diaphragm/Tank bottom valve class.”
These valves provide processing technology that can be controlled, validated, and provide valuable ROI. With a size range from ½" through 4" (OD), VESTA® valves are the smallest of their kind to operate without the use of a membrane or diaphragm. Instead, sealing is achieved through hermetically sealed PTFE bellows which are pocket-free, avoiding the retention of process product, and allowing effective sterilization.
