Sterile lock for Balancer, Types B and R
Valve Key Options: /24 (upper & lower valve stem); /23 (lower for balanced type valves)
This accessory provides a sterile barrier for GEA Tuchenhagen rising stem valves. The sterile lock is connected to a steam supply or other barrier fluid which then sterilizes that part of the stem which would otherwise come into contact with the atmosphere when the valve is activated.
It may be fit to the upper valve stem where it protrudes through the top plate and may also be fit to the lower valve stem on mixproof valves where it protrudes through the lower plate (refer also balanced type mixproof valves).
Note that the sterile lock cannot be fit to the lower stem of a mixproof valve when the valve is specified with a leakage connector accessory.
Maximum media pressure is 14.5 PSI.g.
For balanced type mixproof valves Type R and B, sterile lock option /23 is specified.
For 24/7 PMO mixproof valves Type M, the lower stem balancer cleaning accessory does not provide a sterile barrier but does integrate lower disk and lower stem cleaning functions during lower seat lifting. The PMO 24/7 balancer cleaning accessory is supplied as standard.
