Standard Actuators

Restrictions: Not applicable to longstroke valves

 

All standard actuators are activated with 87 PSI.g control air pressure and will hold against 72 PSI.g product pressure or higher as indicated on the individual valve data sheet.

 

Standard actuators are piston type air/spring design and are also reversible (in most instances) giving flexibility to easily convert from normally closed to normally open while maintaining similar holding and activation pressure.

 

Air is applied to the actuator via the control module or by direct attachment to a panel. Increased control air pressure generally allows the selection of smaller actuators.

 

Larger actuators are available without the need for additional accessories to reduce control air pressure down to 58 PSI.g and also to increase holding pressures up to 145 PSI.g.
